Bible Truth Books was formed in 1972, and is a government-registered non-profit organization.  Bible Truth Books is operated entirely by volunteer labor, with the primary purpose of distributing sound religious books, Bibles, free sermon recordings and tracts, religious music CDs, and used religious books at the lowest possible cost, thereby ensuring that edifying materials are available to all. 

Bible Truth Books was located in Kalamazoo, Michigan from 1972 to 2003.  In 2003, Bible Truth Books relocated to Grand Rapids.  Today, Bible Truth Books resides in a former parsonage house adjacent to the Netherlands Reformed Covell Avenue congregation.  Our staff consists of approximately fifteen volunteers who meet each week on a rotating basis to fill orders and literature requests, stock shelves, and to perform accounting activities, etc.

Our inventory selection consists of more than 900 titles from approximately 40 suppliers.  This gives both individuals and congregations the convenience of ordering from a single, reliable source.  One of the most important aspects of Bible Truth Books is ensuring that the materials we distribute are of a sound, trustworthy nature.  Regrettably, we regularly encounter much literature from our various suppliers that is unreliable, unbiblical, or unsound.  In addition, we must always remember that we are dealing with matters and materials of the greatest solemnity.  Such decisions about the reliability or trustworthiness of a book must never be made lightly or without careful consideration.  To that end, we utilize our Reviewal Committee to direct us in these matters. 

Guests and visitors are welcome to visit our “book house”, located at 1249 Covell Avenue in Grand Rapids.  We are open for browsing from 3pm to 5pm on the first Saturday of each month, but also work with out-of-town visitors to accommodate their schedules.
